Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway is set to be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1, marking the first time this year consecutive races have not been on Fox.

Aside from the Bluegreen Vacation Duel qualifying races at Daytona International Speedway back in February, it took until the race at Richmond Raceway on Sunday, April 2 for a NASCAR Cup Series race to be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 as opposed to regular Fox this year.

Even the preseason Busch Light Clash at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum was shown live on Fox. The race at Richmond Raceway was the season’s seventh points race of the year.

But a lot of recent races have been shown live on Fox Sports 1, and that is set to be the case again for this Sunday afternoon’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway.

The 267-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Kansas City, Kansas oval is set to be the fourth race broadcast on Fox Sports 1 in the last six weeks, joining the races at Richmond Raceway, Martinsville Speedway (Sunday, April 16), and Dover Motor Speedway (Monday, May 2).

It is the second of four consecutive NASCAR Cup Series races on Fox Sports 1 instead of Fox.

The Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, May 14 and the All-Star Race (non-points race) at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Sunday, May 21 are both set to be shown live on Fox Sports 1. The next race on Fox is the Coca-Cola 600, which is scheduled to take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 28.

Beyond this race, there are just two more races before NBC and USA take over for the remainder of the season.

The Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter, which is scheduled to take place at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway on Sunday, June 4, is set to be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1, while the Toyota/Save Mart 350, which is scheduled to take place at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday, June 11, is set to be broadcast live on Fox.

Of course, not much changes for these upcoming Fox Sports 1 races except what channel to select before the race starts. The usual Fox broadcast team is set to call the race, with lead announcer Mike Joy in the booth along with former driver and analyst Clint Bowyer.

This week’s guest analyst is Kurt Busch, who won last year’s spring race at Kansas Speedway.
