With the All-Star Race set to return to North Wilkesboro Speedway later this month, this suggestion is more about increasing the track’s role on the schedule.

The decline — and return — of the facility was well-documented, and ever since the renovation plans were announced in 2021, the dream of a NASCAR return to North Wilkesboro Speedway once again came into the minds of many.

The return of the All-Star Race largely makes those dreams a reality. But even with this return to the track, could there still be more?

Could the track host points races for all three of NASCAR’s top series?

North Wilkesboro Speedway is also scheduled to host a Truck Series points race during All-Star Weekend, but the Cup Series and Xfinity Series are yet to see the same. In fact, the latter is not even scheduled to visit the track this year.

After All-Star Weekend, North Wilkesboro Speedway is set to be repaved and will likely be ready to go by the 2024 season. Will this be enough to lure all three series back to the fabled speedway? Most likely.

The success of All-Star Weekend, coupled with the Truck Series race, will be strong determining factors in regard to what events the track will host in 2024. Should both events go off smoothly without any issues, it’s extremely likely that the track will see its name on the 2024 Cup Series schedule with a points race, and maybe even another All-Star Weekend.

Should this be the case, it will be a weekend that is undoubtedly highlighted on the calendars of many drivers and fans alike.
