Indy 500: Ranking all 34 drivers, from No. 34 to No. 1

There are 34 IndyCar drivers vying for 33 spots in the Indy 500 to attempt to have their face be the next on the Borg-Warner Trophy.

For the first time since 2021, there will be bumping to set the field of 33 for the Indy 500. There are 34 drivers on the entry list for the 107th running of IndyCar‘s most prestigious race, but only one can win the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing”.

Who will be drinking the milk following the 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Speedway, Indiana oval?

Prior to the start of official Indy 500 practice this week, here are our power rankings, from No. 34 all the way through No. 1.

Indy 500 rankings: No. 34 – Katherine Legge

When the green flag flies to get the Indy 500 underway, Katherine Legge’s most recent IndyCar start will have come more than a decade ago, whether she is in the field of 33 or not.

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s speed on superspeedways since the start of last season, which we’ll get a little bit more into in a couple of slides, does not exactly inspire a ton of optimism as we head into the month of May. As it stands, Legge’s two Indy 500 starts have both come from 30th place or lower.
