The NASCAR race weekend schedule at Charlotte Motor Speedway has changed quite a few times. Change was the early theme on Monday as well.

If all had gone according to plan, Charlotte Motor Speedway would have hosted a NASCAR Truck Series race on Friday night, an Xfinity Series race on Saturday afternoon, and a Cup Series race on Sunday evening.

Only the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 Truck Series race actually took place as initially scheduled.

The Alsco Uniforms 300 Xfinity Series race was pushed back from Saturday to Monday due to rain, and the Coca-Cola 600 Cup Series race was pushed back from Sunday to Monday due to rain as well.

With the Cup Series race being postponed from Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET to Monday at 3:00 p.m. ET, the Xfinity Series race was changed again, moving from 12:00 p.m. ET to 11:00 a.m. ET. But rain after only 48 of 200 scheduled laps around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Concord, North Carolina oval forced the race to be suspended.

NASCAR moved the Xfinity Series race to after the Cup Series race. It is set to be shown on Fox Sports 2 instead of Fox Sports 1.

The 400-lap Cup Series race is currently airing live on Fox, making it the first race at NASCAR’s top level to be broadcast on Fox as opposed to Fox Sports 1 since the race at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, April 23.

Tony Stewart is in the Fox booth for the longest race of the season, along with full-time announcers Mike Joy and Clint Bowyer.

Of course, we would be remiss not to mention the fact that the schedule could still very well change again, as it has a number of times already. However, all scheduled action should be able to take place this afternoon and evening. According to The Weather Channel, there is only a 15% chance of rain throughout the rest of the day.
