The NASCAR Cup Series is scheduled to get back into action this weekend with the Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway. Who are the favorites to win the race?

The one and only off weekend on the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series schedule is in the books, and Sunday afternoon’s Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway is scheduled to begin a 20-week stretch to conclude the season.

Sunday’s 300-lap race around the four-turn, 1.333-mile (2.145-kilometer) Lebanon, Tennessee oval is the first of 10 remaining races on the 26-race regular season schedule.

All remaining races, including the 10 playoff races, are set to be broadcast live on either NBC or USA Network, as Fox’s portion of the broadcast schedule concluded before the off weekend.

Who is the favorite to win Sunday’s Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway?

DraftKings Sportsbook, which is offering fans $150 just for signing up and betting $5, has three drivers listed at the top, with three others tied for the fourth spot — creating more of a top six than a true top five.

  • Kyle Larson, Hendrick Motorsports: +550
  • Martin Truex Jr., Joe Gibbs Racing: +750
  • Kyle Busch, Richard Childress Racing: +750
  • William Byron, Hendrick Motorsports: +850
  • Denny Hamlin, Joe Gibbs Racing: +850
  • Chase Elliott, Hendrick Motorsports: +850

Both of the winners at Nashville Superspeedway since the track was added to the schedule in 2021 are included on this list. Larson won the race in 2021 and Elliott won it last year.

Elliott knows that he likely needs to win to get to the playoffs, as he currently sits in 27th place in the point standings after missing seven races earlier this year. We saw at Sonoma Raceway that he and crew chief Alan Gustafson are willing to take chances to try to make that happen.

Busch and Truex are the winners of the two most recent races, with Busch winning at World Wide Technology Raceway, which is similar in length to Nashville Superspeedway, and Truex winning the final race before the break at Sonoma Raceway to take the points lead. Busch and Byron lead the series with three wins apiece this year, with Larson and Truex just behind them with two each.
