Silverstone Circuit, which played host to one of the most entertaining races of the 2022 Formula 1 season, is set to host the annual British Grand Prix this Sunday.

Following Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, there is no time to rest before this coming Sunday’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit, the 10th of 22 races on the 2023 Formula 1 schedule.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, whose average result at the 18-turn, 3.661-mile (5.892-kilometer) road course since 2021 is just 13.5, enters the weekend on a five-race winning streak.

He has the opportunity to secure a career-high sixth straight win in front of a hostile crowd this weekend at a track where he won in front of empty grandstands back in August 2020.

DraftKings Sportsbook, which is offering fans an instant $150 just for signing up and placing a $5 bet, lists Verstappen as the -290 favorite to win Sunday’s race, offering very little value in the race winner market unless you’re able to successfully throw a dart and land it on the correct upset winner.

However, there are several other interesting markets and odds to look at ahead of Sunday’s 52-lap race.

Odds and availability are subject to change. Sign up now to lock in your $150 while you still can!

Formula 1 longshot bets at Silverstone: No. 1 – Lando Norris

The upgraded McLaren looks like a car that can fight for finishes well within the top 10 on a regular basis, as Lando Norris demonstrated in the Austrian Grand Prix with a fourth place finish at the Red Bull Ring. His average finish in the last four races at Silverstone Circuit is 6.0.

Have a look at some attractive odds for Norris this weekend.

Race Winner Without Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull & Aston Martin: +150

Top 6 finish: +165

Podium finish: +1100

Formula 1 longshot bets at Silverstone: No. 2 – Lewis Hamilton

-105 odds don’t necessarily qualify as “longshot” odds, but Lewis Hamilton has recorded 10 straight podium finishes at Silverstone Circuit, and those are his odds this weekend.

We all know that the Mercedes W14 remains a handful, but that was the case in 2022 with the W13 as well, and you could make the case that Hamilton should have won last year’s British Grand Prix.

Despite the car’s struggles, Hamilton has managed two podium finishes in the last three races. If you’re willing to take a bigger gamble, his odds to secure a ninth career British Grand Prix win are +1100.

Formula 1 longshot bets at Silverstone: No. 3 – Alex Albon

Alex Albon did not finish in the top 10 in Austria, but it is clear that he has the pace to compete for points each race following recent upgrades to the Williams FW45.

This was evident in Montreal, when he topped Q2 and finished the race in seventh place. Given his average finish of 9.0 since the implementation of those updates, +170 odds for a top 10 finish at Silverstone are tough to pass up.

Formula 1 longshot bets at Silverstone: No. 4 – Oscar Piastri

After a tough race in Austria, rookie Oscar Piastri is looking forward to the upgrades on Norris’s car being put on his at Silverstone. Piastri is still seeking that breakthrough moment in his rookie season, and this weekend could very well provide it.

Two markets are particularly intriguing.

Top 10 finish: +160

Top 6 finish: +1100

Formula 1 longshot bets at Silverstone: No. 5 – McLaren

And finally, let’s keep with the McLaren trend. McLaren are listed as the second favorite behind Alpine to field the “Race Winning Car Without Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull & Aston Martin”. Their odds are listed at +135, and at a track where Norris has shown good pace in the past.

The top Alpine car did beat the top McLaren car a year ago, but that Alpine car was driven by Fernando Alonso, who is now with Aston Martin.
