NASCAR has officially announced a schedule change for the Crayon 301 Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The last NASCAR Cup Series race that did not have its schedule altered in some way, shape, or form due to rain took place at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday, June 11. That is set to remain the case for at least another week.

Sunday’s Crayon 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway had initially been scheduled to go green at 2:49 p.m. ET, but it has now been postponed as a result of rain. Rain had always posed a major threat to this weekend’s schedule, given the weather forecast.

The 301-lap race around the four-turn, 1.058-mile (1.703-kilometer) Loudon, New Hampshire oval is now scheduled to take place at 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, July 17. The forecast is far more promising at this time, with only a 9% chance of rain, according to The Weather Channel.

This race is the fourth NASCAR Cup Series race in a row to see its schedule altered due to rain.

The race at Nashville Superspeedway on Sunday, June 25 was moved up to ensure that it was completed before inclement weather set in, the inaugural street race in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, July 2 was postponed due to rain and ultimately shortened due to darkness, and the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 9 was shortened due to rain.

Interestingly, none of these races were actually postponed to the next day. A full postponement hasn’t happened since the race at Charlotte Motor Speedway was moved from Sunday, May 28 to Monday, May 29.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell, the reigning winner at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, is listed by FanDuel Sportsbook as the +450 favorite to win the Crayon 301. He took the pole position for the race on Saturday afternoon.

FanDuel Sportsbook is now offering fans an instant $200 just for signing up and betting $20.

Odds and availability are subject to change, so lock in your $200 now before it’s too late!
