Logan Sargeant finds himself on the hot seat at Williams after a stretch of rough performances. Who could replace him for the 2024 Formula 1 season?

It is looking increasingly likely that Williams will opt for a different teammate for Alex Albon for the 2024 Formula 1 season and move on from Logan Sargeant.

Looking to be more competitive and challenge for more than seventh place in the constructor standings, they are poised to do proper search for a second driver.

Here are three possibilities.

Possible Logan Sargeant replacements: No. 1 – Daniel Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo racing alongside Alex Albon at Williams would be quite a sight to behold. With the Aussie’s injury in Zandvoort, his future at AlphaTauri could be perceived as “at risk” after Liam Lawson replaced him and staked his claim for the seat.

Williams signing the 34-year-old could be seen as a risk itself, given his age and performance in Formula 1 over the last few seasons. However, it could also be a necessary gamble which results in the team reaping the benefits both in terms of their overall progress and in the two championships.

Ricciardo is still a very capable driver, and we all know how good he can be when given a good car. To add, Williams would likely prefer a more experienced driver to consistently produce results alongside Albon, and Ricciardo is someone who would do well in grasping the basic aspects of the car and pushing to bring out its best.
