Felix Rosenqvist is one of the top IndyCar free agents for the 2024 season. For which team will he end up competing next year?

While the fact that he hasn’t won a race since the 2020 IndyCar season has resulted in Felix Rosenqvist flying somewhat under the radar, he is still one of the top drivers without a contract to compete in the 2024 season.

He may very well be the driver to watch at this point in this year’s silly season, given how much could hinge on where his future lies and how many teams he has been linked to.

Where will the 31-year-old Swede end up in 2024?

Possible Felix Rosenqvist landing spots: No. 1 – Arrow McLaren

Many were under the impression that Alex Palou would leave Chip Ganassi Racing and join Arrow McLaren for the 2024 IndyCar season. But with that not happening, Felix Rosenqvist returning to the team next year is not out of the question.

Even if they decide to bring in another driver other than Palou, Rosenqvist might even stay. Arrow McLaren made the decision to expand from two cars to three for the 2023 season, and they would like to expand to four.

Whether or not that is possible in 2024, since they don’t plan to acquire Andretti Autosport’s shop until 2025, remains to be seen.

Of course, should Arrow McLaren not expand, everybody knows that any new driver would indeed replace Rosenqvist. Alexander Rossi and Pato O’Ward are both under contract with the team through at least next year.

With Arrow McLaren suddenly having an in-demand seat with Palou out of the equation, Rosenqvist’s future is still far from secure. Even without Palou, they still have several drivers to choose from if they feel that Rosenqvist hasn’t earned an extension. He is, after all, still seeking his first win since joining the team in 2021.
