Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway is the final playoff race on the 2023 schedule that is set to be shown live on USA Network as opposed to NBC.

For the 10th and final time during the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, a race is set to be broadcast live on USA Network this Sunday afternoon.

Sunday’s Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway, the fourth of 10 races on the playoff schedule, is the 14th race since Fox’s portion of the broadcast schedule ended at Sonoma Raceway in June.

Just four races have actually been aired on regular NBC since NBC’s portion of the broadcast schedule began. USA Network, which is owned by NBCUniversal, is the network which became the new alternative broadcast channel during NBC’s portion of the broadcast schedule following the shutdown of NBC Sports Network at the end of 2021.

Following this weekend, all six races remaining on the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series schedule are set to be shown live on NBC.

23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick is the reigning winner of the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400, having earned his third and final win with Richard Childress Racing at the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Fort Worth, Texas last September.

Reddick was a playoff driver last year, but he had already been eliminated from playoff contention when he won this round of 12 race, so the win did not advance him to the round of 8.

Reddick’s win meant that none of the first four races of the 2022 playoffs had winners who advanced to the next round of the postseason, a situation which had never previously unfolded in NASCAR history.

FanDuel Sportsbook, which is currently running a promotion awarding fans with a guaranteed $200, lists Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin as the co-favorites to win Sunday’s race. Both drivers remain in championship contention ahead of this year’s round of 12 opener.
