Race number 36 of 36 on the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series schedule is nearly upon us, with Sunday's Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway set to be the final points race until the 69th annual running of the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, February 21, 2027.

And for just the fifth time this year, there will be a full field of cars this weekend.

There are 40 cars on the entry list for Sunday's 267-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Homestead, Florida, including three that did not compete at Martinsville Speedway this past weekend and two that will have different drivers.

5 lineup changes confirmed for NASCAR Cup race at Homestead

The three additions include the No. 44 NY Racing Team Chevrolet, which is set to be driven by J.J. Yeley after it was driven most recently by Joey Gase at Talladega Superspeedway two weekends ago, as well as the No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet, which is set to be driven by Casey Mears after he drove it at Talladega, and the No. 67 23XI Racing Toyota, which Corey Heim is set to drive for the 13th and final time this year as he prepares to make the move to full-time next season. Heim most recently competed at Phoenix Raceway three weekends ago.

Driver change number one was the big news item of the week: the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet. Justin Haley is set to replace Carson Hocevar after the team suspended Hocevar for his on-track incident with Team Penske's Austin Cindric at Martinsville.

The other one involves the No. 66 Garage 66 Ford. That car is back on the entry list, but it's set to be Chad Finchum closing out the year after Josh Bilicki drove it at Martinsville.

The other four races to include full fields this season were all contested on superspeedways (two at Daytona, two at Talladega). The Daytona 500 featured 41 cars due to the Open Exemption Provisional.

There has not been a non-superspeedway Cup race with a full field of 40 cars since the July 2025 street course race in Chicago.

All four non-chartered (open) cars on the entry list this weekend are locked into the race.
