The 25-car NTT IndyCar Series lineup continues to be pieced together, amid the conclusion of the 2026 season over the weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
The weekend began with the long-awaited confirmation that Mick Schumacher is set to replace the Arrow McLaren-bound Felix Rosenqvist at Meyer Shank Racing alongside Marcus Armstrong. Schumacher spent just one season at Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing before the team opted to downsize from three cars to two and retain both Graham Rahal and Louis Foster.
But RLL Racing's downsize came as a result of a charter sale to Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, which have switched from longtime engine manufacturer Chevrolet to Honda and formed a technical alliance with RLL to make their long-awaited full-time IndyCar return.
Now Dreyer & Reinbold Racing have also confirmed their full-time driver for the 2027 season, and to nobody's surprise, it is Conor Daly who is set to make his full-time return to the series behind the wheel of the No. 24 Honda next year as a part of a multi-year agreement.

It marks Dreyer & Reinbold's first full-time IndyCar entry since 2012, when Oriol Servia competed full-time in the No. 22 Chevrolet, after the team actually started out the year with Lotus engines. Servia began the 2013 season as a full-time driver, but the team did not return in any capacity after the Indy 500.
Aside from the three Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course races in 2020, they have competed in only the Indy 500 each year dating back to 2014.
Daly competed for the team in the Indy 500 in both 2024 and 2026, placing 10th and 12th, respectively. He most recently competed full-time in the series in 2025 for Juncos Hollinger Racing, which was his sixth full season in the sport. All six of his full seasons in the sport have produced championship results of either 17th or 18th.
Daly's career-best finish is a runner-up finish for Dale Coyne Racing on the streets of Belle Isle in 2016. His other podium finish came in 2024 with Juncos Hollinger Racing at the Milwaukee Mile, marking the team's first top three finish in the series.
The 2027 IndyCar season is scheduled to get underway on Sunday, March 7 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, which is set to be broadcast live on Fox from the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.
