Monza F1 qualifying, full Italian Grand Prix starting lineup

Monza is set to host the 2026 Formula 1 season's 13th race this weekend, with the Italian Grand Prix being the first of three races on the September calendar.

Formula 1's streak of races won from the front row, including both Grands Prix and sprints, is now 18, which is somewhat surprisingly an all-time record, despite the increase in overtaking that the 2026 season has seen due to the controversial new regulations.

But perhaps there is no better venue for that streak to end than Monza, which hasn't seen back-to-back front row Italian Grand Prix winners since 2015 and 2016. Red Bull's Max Verstappen won it from pole a year ago, after Tifosi-favorite Charles Leclerc won it from fourth for Ferrari in 2024.

Prior to Verstappen's win, the 53-lap race around 11-turn, 3.6-mile (5.794-kilometer) Autodromo Nazionale di Monza road course in Monza, Italy hadn't been won from pole since Leclerc won it in 2019. The average starting position for a race winner at the "Temple of Speed" since 2020 is 4.33.

Will qualifying prove to be just as crucial this weekend as it has all season, or will Formula 1's fastest track shake things up to start off the month of September?
