Las Vegas Motor Speedway marks the halfway point of the 10-race 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Chase postseason schedule with its second race of the year, the South Point 400, on Sunday afternoon.
Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin took the pole position for this 267-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Las Vegas, Nevada oval in Saturday's qualifying session, which was the first qualifying session in three weeks after back-to-back sessions were canceled at Bristol Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway. He led the field to the green flag behind the wheel of his No. 11 Toyota.
Teammate Ty Gibbs joined him on the front row to begin Sunday's race behind the wheel of his No. 54 Toyota.
The Las Vegas race contested back in March was won by Hamlin, after teammate Christopher Bell started on pole. Those drivers rank second and third in points and trailed Hendrick Motorsports' Kyle Larson in the championship standings by 26 and 50, respectively, heading into Sunday's race.
Can Hamlin make it three Las Vegas wins in a row? Follow along with our South Point 400 race updates from Las Vegas.
