The NASCAR Cup Series postseason is set to carry on this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with race number five of 10 on the 2026 calendar, and Sunday's South Point 400 is the second of three consecutive races on four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) high-speed intermediate ovals.

It's also the fifth consecutive race to open up the postseason that will not be shown live on NBC.

The season-ending portion of the broadcast schedule is now officially recognized as belonging to USA Sports, not NBC Sports, since Versant Media, the parent company of USA Sports, split from Comcast and NBC in late 2025.

That said, nothing has changed channel-wise; the races are still split between USA Network and NBC, which was the case even before NASCAR's seven-year, $7.7 billion media deal went into effect before the 2025 season.

When is the next NASCAR Cup race on NBC?

USA Sports' portion of the schedule began with four races remaining on the regular season schedule, and the only regular season race shown on NBC was the regular season finale at Daytona International Speedway. That race, which was contested more than a month ago, remains the only race shown live on NBC this year.

And USA Network's streak is set to continue for another couple weeks as well. Next Sunday's race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, as well as the following Sunday's race at Phoenix Raceway, are also set to be shown live on USA.

NBC is then set to air the season's final three races from Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, October 25; Martinsville Speedway on Sunday, November 1; and Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, November 8, giving it four races total, compared to USA's 10.

Leigh Diffey is the lead announcer for all races on USA Sports' portion of the schedule, whether they're shown live on USA or NBC. He is in his third season alongside analysts Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte, who both arrived in 2015 when the previous media agreement, which included only Fox and NBC, went into effect.

Tune in to USA Network this Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET for the live broadcast of the South Point 400 from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Don't miss the fifth race on the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series postseason calendar!
