For the first time since the July 2025 street race in Chicago, a non-superspeedway NASCAR Cup Series is set to feature a full field of 40 cars this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway to wrap up the 2026 season.

Four teams are set to field non-chartered (open) cars on Sunday's 267-lap Straight Talk Wirelsss 400 around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Homestead, Florida, including three part-time teams.

One of those part-time teams is Garage 66 (MBM Motorsports), which has made 16 starts (plus one DNQ) this season. They were the only open team to field a car at Martinsville Speedway this past weekend, and the No. 66 Ford is back on the entry list this weekend.

After Gray Gaulding was initially supposed to drive it at Martinsville, it ended up being Josh Bilicki who made his fourth start of the year for the team. But this weekend, it's Chad Finchum who is set to make his team-leading eighth start of the year in the No. 66 car.

Finchum has not competed in the Cup Series since running the postseason opener at Darlington Raceway in early September. His two 28th place finishes at Talladega Superspeedway in late April and at Nashville Superspeedway in late May are the best finishes of his career, and they were the team's best of 2026 until Gaulding ran 23rd at Talladega in late October.

Other open cars this weekend include J.J. Yeley's No. 44 NY Racing Team Chevrolet, Casey Mears' No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet, and Corey Heim's No. 67 23XI Racing Toyota. All open cars are locked into this weekend's race, making it the fifth race of the year to feature a full field of at least 40 cars.

NBC is set to provide live coverage of the Straight Talk Wireless 400 from Homestead-Miami Speedway starting at 3:00 p.m. ET this Sunday, November 8. Begin a free trial of FuboTV now and catch all of the action from the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season finale!
