Team Penske's Ryan Preece took the pole position for Sunday's Freeway Insurance 500 at Phoenix Raceway, which is set to be the first NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Phoenix that is not the championship finale since 2019. Blaney has won back-to-back races at Phoenix.

Blaney earned the pole position for this 312-lap race around the four-turn, 1.022-mile (1.645-kilometer) Avondale, Arizona oval by recording a top lap speed of 137.143 miles per hour behind the wheel of his No. 12 Ford during Saturday's qualifying session, which was just the third playoff qualifying session of the year not to be rained out.

Teammate Joey Logano, whom Blaney beat to the top spot by 0.032 seconds, is set to start beside him on the front row behind the wheel of his No. 22 Ford.

Championship leader Kyle Larson qualified 22nd, placing him lower than 12 of the other 15 title contenders.

Here's a look at the full starting lineup for Sunday's Freeway Insurance 500 at Phoenix. Note that pre-race penalties are not factored into the chart below.
