Before Formula 1 gets fully back into action following the four-week summer break with Sunday's Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort, the track is set to host the fifth of six sprint races on the 2026 calendar.
The 14-turn, 2.642-mile (4.252-kilometer) road course in Zandvoort, Netherlands, which is set to be removed entirely from the Formula 1 calendar after the 2026 season, has never hosted a sprint race. With Sunday's Grand Prix scheduled for 72 laps, Saturday's sprint race is set to be a 24-lap race.
All 11 Grands Prix contested so far this season have been won from the front row, with eight won from pole. All four sprint races contested so far this season have also been won from the front row, with three won from pole. While Zandvoort has never hosted a sprint race, all five Grands Prix it's hosted since its return to the schedule in 2021 have been won from pole.
