America’s Independence Day may fall on a Monday this year, but it means an even longer weekend for race fans to celebrate their freedom by watching some great racing from around the country and the globe. Nothing could be more American than strapping in for some high-octane action from NASCAR to motorcycles to open wheels.
NASCAR moves to NBC and NBCSN, its home for the second half of the season. The former will have coverage of the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona for the Sprint Cup Series, while NBCSN will air the Subway Firecracker 250 for the Xfinity Series. The Camping World Truck Series will be off this weekend.
Meanwhile, Formula One returns to Europe to begin their summer stretch with the Austrian Grand Prix. In other open wheel action, Formula E will conclude their season at Battersea Park with a weekend doubleheader. Meanwhile, IMSA racing will take center stage on Sunday with the Six Hours of the Glen.
