Of course, a lot has changed in the two months since the series was in the Lone Star State the first time. Simon Pagenaud, who once had a seemingly insurmountable points lead for the championship, is now clinging to it as Will Power charges forward.
Power is on a hot streak with another win at Pocono and could take the championship lead after Texas despite missing a race earlier in the season.
Meanwhile, the man who is third in points will not race at Texas Motor Speedway. Josef Newgarden is being kept off the grid due to his crash in the finished laps of the race, along with Conor Daly.
So who are the favorites to win in the remaining laps at TMS? Here are ten drivers that could end their night on Saturday in Victory Lane.
Note: These power rankings for Texas are a combination of the previous rankings for the June race with the latest trends in the championship. Therefore, no changes will be noted in ranking. Newgarden and Daly will also be omitted from the rankings.
First Four Out: Simon Pagenaud, Tony Kanaan, Charlie Kimball, Juan Pablo Montoya
