It’s a question that would not be asked for any other NASCAR Cup Series driver with her statistics. But should Danica Patrick be in the Hall of Fame?

Danica Patrick, 35, announced on Tuesday that she will no longer be driving the #10 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford in the NASCAR Cup Series following the conclusion of the 2017 season, which could very well mean her Cup Series career and racing career in general are coming to an end.

Several of Patrick’s colleagues have spoken up about her leaving the team, including her former teammate and Stewart-Haas Racing co-owner Tony Stewart, her teammate and 2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, and her teammate and 2004 Cup Series champion Kurt Busch.

But it’s what Busch said that has really got people talking. Here is what he had to say about his Stewart-Haas Racing teammate.

"“I see more female racers around our country and around the world interested in racing. She paved the way. She’s a true pioneer in this day and age of social media and the power of media recognizing that she’s moving the needle even though she wasn’t running consistently up front.”"
