One of NASCAR’s top regional divisions – the K&N Pro Series East – has confirmed their full 2018 series schedule, with a few key changes.

While racing on a national stage can give many great exposure and opportunities, racing on a regional and track level is often where racers get their start. Today, many of the great stars of NASCAR began in what is now the K&N Pro Series. In 2018, more names will look to join that list that includes Martin Truex Jr., William Byron, and Joey Logano as the series schedule has been announced for the east division.

The 14-race schedule for the K&N Pro Series East will be competed across twelve tracks, stretching from Florida to New Hampshire. Two of those races will be combined with the K&N Pro Series West, with a new stop at Gateway Motorsports Park on the same weekend as the IndyCar race joining the traditional Iowa Speedway crossover.

As has become tradition, the K&N Pro Series East will kick off their season with the big boys on the Florida coast, just eleven miles away from Daytona. New Smyrna Speedway hosts the season opener as part of the 52nd Annual World Series of Stock Car Racing. The series then has a two-month layoff before returning April 14th at Bristol Motor Speedway. K&N drivers will also race in companion to the Cup Series at New Hampshire, Watkins Glen, and Dover in the fall as their finale.

More from NASCAR

Key standalone races for the K&N Pro Series East begin rolling in late April with two stops in Virginia, first at Langley Speedway, followed by South Boston Speedway two weeks later as a twin-100 feature. The series returns to Memphis International Raceway to start the month of June, then cross back to the east coast for road course racing from New Jersey Motorsports Park two weeks later.

July will feature the annual throwback race at Thompson Speedway in Connecticut, followed by the companion race with the Cup Series at New Hampshire and combo race at Iowa Speedway. August will bring racing from Watkins Glen, marking the second of two road courses on the calendar, and the final crossover race at Gateway. The championship will wrap up with a standalone race at New Hampshire, pairing with the Pinty’s Series and Whelen Modified Tour, and the season finale at the Monster Mile.
