The television schedule for the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series has been released, along with all the start times for each of the 33 championship races.

Can you believe that racing from the high banks of Daytona International Speedway is only two months away? While the teams of the NASCAR Xfinity Series are hard at work preparing for a new season, series officials are finishing up the final details for the coming year. On Tuesday, NASCAR released the start times and networks for each of the 33 Xfinity Series events.

Once again, Fox Sports and NBC Sports will combine to cover every NASCAR Xfinity Series race in 2018, with half the races airing on each of their networks. FOX and FS1 will carry the first 14 races, with four airing on the FOX broadcast network and ten on sports network FS1. The second half of the year will then be split between NBC and NBCSN, with the peacock network taking four races and their sports network handling 15 races.

The big changes on the calendar are sprinkled throughout the Xfinity Series schedule. The spring race at Richmond Raceway will shift from a day race to a Friday night show under the lights, marking the first night race on the calendar. Other key springtime changes include Texas and Talladega getting later start times at 3:00 pm eastern, while the Iowa race will shift back to a 5:00 pm eastern start.

In the second half of the schedule, shifting races are the key piece to the puzzle. Indianapolis Motor Speedway moves from the middle of summer to early September, followed by a new second race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. That race will now serve as the final cut-off before the playoffs begin, this time at Richmond one week later. The string of new races in new places is completed with the second race of the Round of 12 when the Xfinity Series takes on the “roval” at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Eight races during the 2018 season will be placed on over-the-air networks FOX and NBC. The Fox Sports half of these eight include the spring races at Phoenix, Texas, Talladega, and Michigan. NBC Sports will then air races from Watkins Glen, Darlington, Texas, and Phoenix over the NBC broadcast network.
