Still searching for the perfect gift for a friend or loved one? Get online and buy tickets to a NASCAR race to win the holidays!

If you’re like me, you’re sitting in front of your iPod or laptop stumped on what to buy. Not only can you not decide, but you’re running out of time as well. However, it’s never too late to look at the NASCAR schedule and grab tickets to a race.

Just picture the excitement on the face of the person receiving when they see their tickets. Maybe it is just me, but even though I’ve been going to the same track for 19 years and I know they’re coming, my eyes still light up when I rip open the wrapping paper and see my NASCAR weekend tickets.

Share the experience of getting to see all of NASCAR’s best. Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson….and the list goes on and on. I truly feel there is nothing better than sitting in the sun, cars going 180+ miles per hour, and the smell of burning rubber. Oh, and how could I forget the roar of 40 engines being pushed to the limit?

Have you bought them yet?

In my opinion, the best weekend to get tickets for is one when the NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series both race on the same weekend. Make a weekend of it. Get to town late Thursday or early Friday and take in the practices. Try the food around the track. Saturday the Xfinity Series will put on a show and you’ll even see some of the big guns from the Cup Series compete. Saturday evening, most tracks will have a concert which drivers attend. Sunday, of course, is the big show.

The best strategy is to invite your friend who always talks about how boring NASCAR is to watch. Anyone who uses this excuse will have a change of heart after taking it all in live in person. What most who have never attended a NASCAR race fail to realize is there is something for everyone.

So stop procrastinating and get your tickets now. I want to see less bleacher on TV at races this year. Get your husband and the kids out of the house. Or tag along and take the whole family. With the young drivers taking over the Cup Series in 2018, I feel we’re in for a great year.

You can get tickets for the Daytona 500 in February. Or if the winter isn’t your thing, the NASCAR  Cup Series heads back to Daytona in July. If you’re more of a short track fan, head to Bristol or even take in a playoff race or two at New Hampshire and Martinsville. Just don’t forget to make a full weekend of it.
