NASCAR: Team Power Rankings after Phoenix – Toyota teams rise
By Asher Fair
Following the 2018 TicketGuardian 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at ISM Raceway, how do the team power rankings look? Which teams rank where?
Kevin Harvick drove his #4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford to victory lane for the third consecutive NASCAR Cup Series race at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona in the TicketGuardian 500. He won in Atlanta and Las Vegas in each of the last two weekends leading up to this past weekend’s race.
Harvick now has three victories in four races, while he had just two victories in 36 races throughout all of last season. He still managed to finish in 3rd place in the championship standings after qualifying for the Championship 4 last season.
Harvick’s third victory in a row also gives Stewart-Haas Racing their third win in a row and of the season. As a result, their win total in the last three races is identical to their win total throughout all of last season as well.

Last season, Harvick won in Sonoma and Texas, while his teammate Kurt Busch won the Daytona 500. Harvick’s teammates have been solid this season as well despite the fact that he is the only Stewart-Haas Racing driver who has won a race so far.
In addition to Stewart-Haas Racing, two Toyota teams rose in this week’s NASCAR Team Power Rankings after solid overall performances in Phoenix as well. Chevrolet teams continued to struggle as a whole, but Chase Elliott gave Hendrick Motorsports something to smile about with their first top 9 finish of the season in the form of a 3rd place run.
Here are this week’s NASCAR Team Power Rankings. For more information on how these rankings are calculated, check out any of our previous NASCAR Team Power Rankings articles or click here to see the formula that is used to determine the rankings.
