NASCAR Cup Series: Team Power Rankings after 2018 O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas
By Asher Fair
Four different teams have won at least one NASCAR Cup Series race so far in the 2018 season. How does that factor into the team power rankings?
As a result of Kyle Busch’s win in the seventh of 36 races in the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series, a total of four different teams have now been represented by the five different race winners so far this season.
Busch delivered Joe Gibbs Racing their first win of the 2018 season in his #18 Toyota for the team by winning the 334-lap O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at the four-turn, 1.5-mile D-shaped Texas Motor Speedway oval in Fort Worth, Texas.
With Joe Gibbs Racing now having joined the ranks of Stewart-Haas Racing, Richard Childress Racing and Furniture Row Racing in terms of teams that have won at least one race so far this season, how have the NASCAR Team Power Rankings been affected?

Perhaps the most interesting team to assess so far this season is Team Penske. While none of their three drivers have won a race in yet in the 2018 season, you could make a case that they have been the best all-around team in pretty much every race and quite possible throughout the entire season as a whole as well.
Where do they factor into these rankings relative to the four teams that have won at least one race so far this season having not yet won a race but having still been extremely solid as a whole?
