The remaining laps of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, the eighth race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season, are set to take place tomorrow.

The Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, the eighth race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season, was initially scheduled to go green at 2:13 pm ET earlier on Sunday afternoon. However, a prediction of rain and thunderstorms caused that start time to be moved up.

NASCAR and track officials moved the race’s start time and the start times of all other pre-race festivities up by one hour. The race was then scheduled to start at 1:13 pm ET, but it ended up being slightly delayed due to rain earlier that morning.

Just 204 of the 500 scheduled laps around the four-turn, 0.533-mile oval in Bristol, Tennessee were completed before officials suspended the race and announced that it would be scheduled for completion tomorrow.

The race was halted three times during those 204 laps as a result of rain, and the drivers could not quite reach the end of stage two on lap 250, which would have made the race official and prevented it from being moved to tomorrow.

The remaining 296 of the race’s 500 laps are scheduled to be completed on Monday, April 16th. The resumption of this race is set to begin at 1:00 pm ET, and it is set to be broadcast live on Fox at that time.

Here was the running order of the 2018 Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway prior to its suspension and where the drivers are set to line up when the race goes green again tomorrow. The top 23 drivers are all on the lead lap of the race.
