Four regular season races remain on the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series schedule. How do the sport’s 15 teams with at least one full-time driver stack up against one another?

Hendrick Motorsports became the sixth team to earn a victory in the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season thanks to Chase Elliott’s first victory of the season and his first career Cup Series victory in the 22nd race of the 36-race season, the Go Bowling at The Glen, at Watkins Glen International.

Elliott’s victory in the 90-lap race around the eight-turn, 2.454-mile (3.949-kilometer) Watkins Glen International road course in Watkins Glen, New York did not come easily, but he got the job done nevertheless. As a result, Hendrick Motorsports are now tied for fourth on the 2018 season wins list with Team Penske and Richard Childress Racing at one victory apiece.

It will be hard for any team to catch Stewart-Haas Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing or Furniture Row Racing in the wins category seeing as how just three races have been won by teams other than these three teams and these three teams have racked up eight, seven and four victories, respectively, so far this season.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Hendrick Motorsports’ first victory of the 2018 season, which is their first victory in more than one full year, as their last victory had been Kasey Kahne’s victory in the 2017 Brickyard 400 last July, was just the second victory of the season by a Chevrolet team.

The only other Chevrolet team that have won a race so far this season are Richard Childress Racing, and their lone victory came in the season opener, the Daytona 500. Since the Daytona 500, which took place over five months ago in mid-February, no Chevrolet team had won a race since Elliott delivered his first career victory for Hendrick Motorsports at Watkins Glen International.

Of the 20 races that took place between this year’s Daytona 500 and this year’s Go Bowling at The Glen, 11 were won by Toyota drivers and nine were won by Ford drivers.

How did Hendrick Motorsports’ first victory in over one year affect the NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings following the action from Watkins Glen International.
