The 24th race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season is the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Here is the entry list for that race.

Just three of the 26 races on the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series regular season schedule remain before the playoffs get underway, and there are still eight playoff berths up for grabs, as just eight drivers have won at least one of the first 23 races of the season.

With just three races remaining in the regular season, only three of the remaining eight playoff berths can possibly be clinched by a driver who hasn’t yet won a race this season winning one of the regular season’s final three races. As a result, at least five drivers will get into the playoffs based on their point totals.

The 24th race of the 36-race season is the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, and it is set to take place this Saturday night under the lights at the four-turn, 0.533-mile (0.858-kilometer) oval in Bristol, Tennessee.

A total of 41 cars with 39 confirmed drivers are on the entry list for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race, meaning the race will feature a full field of 40 drivers. Only six races so far this season have featured full fields of 40 drivers.

Those six races were the two races at Daytona International Speedway, the race at Talladega Superspeedway, the race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the second race at Pocono Raceway and the second race at Michigan International Speedway.

Of those six races, three have taken place in the last six-race span and two have taken place in the last three-race span. This Saturday night’s race is set be the second in a row with a full field of 40 drivers.

Prior to this weekend, there have not been consecutive races featuring 40 drivers yet this season, so this weekend’s race should hopefully give the Cup Series solid momentum as the playoffs rapidly approach.

Of the 40 drivers who are on the entry list for this Sunday’s race, 30 are full-time drivers who have raced in each of the 23 races that have been held so far this season while the other 11 are part-time drivers. Of the nine confirmed part-time drivers, all nine have made at least one Cup Series start so far this season.

Here is a list of those nine part-time drivers who are set to compete alongside the 30 full-time drivers in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway this Saturday, August 18.

NOTE: The two part-time cars without confirmed drivers for the race are also featured on this list.
