Kyle Busch has a great chance to break the all-time NASCAR wins record this year. But how does he compare his 194 wins to Richard Petty’s 200?

If Kyle Busch is as successful this season across the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series as he has been across these three series in each of the last six seasons, he will leave 2019 as the all-time winningest driver in NASCAR history.

Busch has earned at least seven combined victories in these three series in every year since 2013. With 51 career Cup Series victories, 92 career Xfinity Series victories and 51 career Cup Series victories under his belt, the 33-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada native sits in second place on the all-time NASCAR wins list behind only Richard Petty.

Petty, one of three seven-time Cup Series champions, earned a total of 200 victories over the course of his NASCAR career. However, he earned all 200 of his victories in the Cup Series. He never even competed in the Xfinity Series or the Truck Series.

So while Busch is the winningest driver in Xfinity Series (by far) and he is one win away from breaking the all-time Truck Series win record, his Cup Series win total is barely one-quarter of what Petty’s is, and it is the 11th highest Cup Series win total of all time.

With all of that in mind, how does Busch himself compare his 194 career NASCAR victories to Petty’s 200, and assuming he ties if not breaks Petty’s all-time NASCAR wins record, how would he compare his 200 or more career NASCAR victories to Petty’s?

Here is what Busch had to say about whether or not he would view what could become his 200 or more career NASCAR victories as being on par with Petty’s 200 career NASCAR victories, according to Autoweek.

"“No. Absolutely not because his number is obviously Cup wins and mine’s not. I feel as though I’m chasing Jeff Gordon (93 Cup wins) or maybe even David Pearson (105). Maybe — I don’t know if I can get there. I like to think I can get there. I’m at 51 right now, so if I can get another 50 in the next 10 years, that would certainly be nice to go out with 100 Cup wins. Nobody will ever touch 200.”"

With Kyle Busch needing only six more victories to tie Richard Petty’s all-time NASCAR wins record and only seven more victories to break it in 2019, do you believe that he secure his 200th and 201st career NASCAR victories this year? If so, in which race or races and at which track or tracks do you believe he will do so?

Compared to Petty’s 200 career NASCAR victories, how would you value Busch’s 200 or more NASCAR victories if he indeed reaches that mark?
