Elliott Sadler, who retired at the end of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, is set to return to the series and drive for Kaulig Racing in two races in the 2019 season.

Elliott Sadler retired from full-time NASCAR competition following the conclusion of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, which was his 22nd consecutive season as a full-time driver in either the Xfinity Series or the Cup Series.

However, with only two of the 33 races on the 2019 Xfinity Series schedule having been completed, the 43-year-old Emporia, Virginia native has announced that he is set to return to the Xfinity Series.

Sadler is set to drive in the April race at Richmond Raceway, which is the eighth race of the season, as well as the September race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is the 26th and final race of the regular season.

He is set to drive the #10 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet with sponsorship from Nutrien Ag Solutions in both of these races, which are scheduled to take place on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, September 14.

Sadler made this announcement via a video on his Twitter account.

Sadler went on to add the following about his return to the Xfinity Series, according to NBC Sports.

"“I said I would only return to the racetrack if the right opportunity came along, and this is it. I’m thrilled to partner with Nutrien Ag Solutions and Kaulig Racing for these two races and team up with Ross Chastain behind the wheel of the No. 10 Chevy. I believe in the mission of Nutrien Ag Solutions, as they help farmers lead the field, and they wanted me to put my helmet back on to do the same at Richmond and Las Vegas.”"

Here is what Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice had to say about the matter, according to NBC Sports.

"“We are so excited to have Elliott drive for us at Kaulig Racing,” Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice said. “Elliott and I grew up racing together at South Boston Speedway, so to have him race for us at his home track is special. We have a great partnership with Nutrien Ag Solutions, who are huge supporters of Elliott, so it is a win-win for our team.”"
