By Asher Fair
How do the 10 IndyCar teams with at least one full-time driver rank against one another with the 2019 season scheduled to get underway this weekend?
The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is scheduled to open up the 2019 IndyCar season this weekend upon the conclusion of a nearly six-month offseason.
The streets of St. Petersburg, Florida are set to play host to this race, which is the first of 17 races on the 2019 schedule. Sunday, March 10 is the date on which this race is scheduled to take place.
Shortly after the year 2018 came to a close and the year 2019 , we published our Way-too-early Driver Power Rankings for the 2019 IndyCar season, which is scheduled to last until September.

We analyzed each of the 10 teams in the sport that have at least one full-time driver who is set to compete in the 2019 season and we ranked them against their competitors in the article with these power rankings.
These power rankings were released more than two months ago. However, as a result of the fact that the same offseason that was in progress at that time is still in progress, the Preseason Team Power Rankings contain just a simple list of rankings instead of a full-length slideshow containing an in-depth analysis for each team.
Here is a link to the Way-too-early Team Power Rankings for the 2019 season if you are interested in reading an in-depth analysis for each of the 10 teams that have at least one full-time driver who is set to compete in the 2019 season.
The Preseason IndyCar Team Power Rankings are slightly different than the Way-too-early Team Power Rankings. The lone change in these power rankings from January until now is that Harding Steinbrenner Racing moved ahead of Dale Coyne Racing to be ranked at #6 while Dale Coyne Racing have dropped to #7.
This took place as a result of the exceptional pace that Harding Steinbrenner Racing’s lone driver, rookie Colton Herta, showed in the Spring Training test sessions at Circuit of the Americas. The team did not move up higher than #6 since these were, in fact, just test sessions.
Here are the Preseason IndyCar Team Power Rankings for the 2019 season. This is how these rankings are set to look as the season begins.
