How do the 10 Formula 1 teams stack up against one another with the 2019 season scheduled to get underway this upcoming weekend?

The Australian Grand Prix is scheduled to get the 2019 Formula 1 season underway this weekend following a long offseason of slightly under four months.

Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit in Melbourne, Australia is set to play host to this race, which is the first of 21 races on the 2019 schedule. This race is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 17.

Slightly after the calendar turned from the year 2018 to the year 2019, we published our Way-too-early Driver Power Rankings for the 2019 Formula 1 season, which is scheduled to last until early December. We analyzed each of the sport’s 10 teams and ranked them against their competitors.

These power rankings were released more than two months ago, but because of the fact that it is still the offseason, the Preseason Team Power Rankings contain just a simple list of rankings, not a full-length slideshow with an in-depth analysis for each team.

Here is a link to the Way-too-early Team Power Rankings for the 2019 season if you are interested in reading an in-depth analysis for each of the 10 teams.

There have not been any changes in these particular power rankings from the time the Way-too-early Team Power Rankings were released until now aside of the fact that Alfa Romeo Sauber’s named changed to Alfa Romeo Racing and the fact that Williams signed ROKiT to serve as their title sponsor. As a result, these rankings are the same as those rankings were.

With that in mind, here are the Preseason Formula 1 Team Power Rankings for the 2019 season.

Rank – Team, Manufacturer
1st – Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, Mercedes
2nd – Scuderia Ferrari, Ferrari
3rd – Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, Honda
4th – Renault, Renault
5th – SportPesa Racing Point, Mercedes
6th – Rich Energy Haas, Ferrari
7th – Alfa Romeo Racing, Ferrari
8th – McLaren, Renault
