NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings after 2019 Auto Club 400
By Asher Fair
With five races down and 31 remaining on the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, how are the Team Power Rankings shaping up?
Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Penske entered this past weekend as the only two teams to have any of their drivers win at least one race in the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season. They entered the weekend with two drivers having won exactly won race through the season’s first four races.
This was the case ever since the season’s second race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, which was won by Team Penske’s Brad Keselowski just over three weeks ago. Keselowski won this race after Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin won the season opener, the Daytona 500, at Daytona International Speedway the week prior.
Team Penske’s Joey Logano went on to win the season’s third race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway the following week before Kyle Busch went on to win the season’s fourth race at ISM Raceway one week later.

Busch earned his second victory of the season and his second consecutive victory by winning this 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.0-mile (3.219-kilometer) Auto Club Speedway oval in Fontana, California, thus delivering the team their series-high third victory of 2019 and their second consecutive victory as well.
How did Joe Gibbs Racing’s third victory of the 2019 season affect the NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated NASCAR Cup Series Team Power Rankings following their second consecutive victory.
