A total of 38 drivers are set to compete in the 11th race on the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, the Gander RV 400, at Dover International Speedway.

Following just the second race of the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season for which the entry list was full, the GEICO 500, at Talladega Superspeedway, a total of 38 drivers are set to compete in this Sunday’s race, the Gander RV 400, at Dover International Speedway.

Through the first 10 races of the 2019 season, five races have featured at least 38 drivers. Two races featured full fields of 40 drivers, one race featured 39 drivers and two other races featured 38 drivers.

Of the 38 drivers who are set to compete in this 400-lap race around the four-turn, 1.0-mile (1.609-kilometer) Dover International Speedway oval in Dover, Delaware, 33 are full-time drivers. Of these 33 full-time drivers, 31 are eligible to earn points in the Cup Series.

Premium Motorsports’ Ross Chastain and StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill are the only two full-time drivers who are set to compete in this race and are not eligible to earned points in the Cup Series. Chastain competes full-time in the Xfinity Series as well, and he is eligible to earn points in that series, while Cassill gave up his eligibility to earn points in the Cup Series by competing in this past Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Four part-time drivers are also set to compete in this race. These four part-time drivers are Premium Motorsports’ Reed Sorenson, Petty Ware Racing’s Cody Ware, Rick Ware Racing’s B.J. McLeod and Spire Motorsports’ Quin Houff.

These four part-time drivers have all competed in at least three races so far this season. Ware has competed in seven races so far this year while McLeod has competed in six, Sorenson has competed in four and Houff has competed in three.

Of these four part-time drivers, three are set to drive for chartered teams, although the significance of this is minimal given the fact that there are only 38 drivers on the entry list for this race and therefore nobody will be bumped from the field. Sorenson is the only one of these four drivers who is not set to drive for a chartered team.

Here is a list of the 38 drivers who are set to compete in the 2019 Gander RV 400 at Dover International Speedway.
