The first of two NASCAR Cup Series races at Pocono Raceway in the 2019 season, the Pocono 400, is set to feature a field of 37 drivers.

The first of two races at Pocono Raceway on the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, the Pocono 400, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 2. This race is the 14th race of the season. The second race at the track is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 28 and is the 21st race of the season.

A total of 37 drivers are set to compete in Sunday’s Pocono 400. Of the season’s first 13 races, only two featured fewer than 37 drivers. The races at ISM Raceway and Martinsville Speedway featured only 36 drivers.

Meanwhile, four races, the races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Richmond Raceway and Dover International Speedway, featured exactly 37 drivers.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Of the 37 drivers who are set to compete in Sunday afternoon’s 160-lap race around the three-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Pocono Raceway triangle in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, 33 are full-time drivers while four are part-time drivers. Of the 33 full-time drivers who are set to compete in this race, only two, Premium Motorsports’ Ross Chastain and StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill, are ineligible to earn points in the Cup Series.

Of the four part-time drivers who are set to compete in this race, three are set to drive for chartered teams while only one is set to drive for a non-chartered team, although this will not matter much as a result of the fact that the field will not be full, so nobody will be bumped from the field and thus nobody will have to rely on a guaranteed starting position just to qualify for the race.

Petty Ware Racing’s Cody Ware, Rick Ware Racing’s Bayley Currey and Spire Motorsports’ Quin Houff are set to drive for chartered teams in this race while Premium Motorsports’ Reed Sorenson is set to drive for a non-chartered team.

Here is a list of the 37 drivers who are set to compete in the 2019 Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway.
