Four drivers have been nominated for the 2019 Best Driver ESPY Award, which is set to be announced during the ESPY Awards next month.

Four drivers, of whom three have been nominated before and two have won before, have been nominated for the 2019 Best Driver ESPY Award at the ESPY Awards in a few weeks.

The 2019 ESPY Awards award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 10 from 8:00 p.m. ET to 11:00 p.m. ET at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, and it is set to be broadcast live on ABC.

The four drivers who have been nominated for this award all represent different racing series, which are Formula 1, the NASCAR Cup Series, IndyCar and NHRA. Formula 1‘s Lewis Hamilton, NASCAR‘s Kyle Busch, IndyCar‘s Scott Dixon and NHRA‘s Steve Torrence are these four drivers.

More from Formula One

Hamilton and Dixon both won championships in their respective series last year, and they are now both five-time champions in these series.

Hamilton became just the third five-time champion in Formula 1 history last season with his second consecutive championship and his fourth in the last five years, and Dixon became just the second five-time champion in IndyCar history last year with his second championship in the last four years and third in the last six.

Busch, the 2015 Cup Series champion, did not win the Cup Series championship last season and is the only nominee for this award who did not win a title last year. That said, he did tie for the series-high win total with his eight victories en route to a fourth place finish in the championship standings. On points alone, he would have been crowned champion over champion Joey Logano.

Torrence won the 2018 Top Fuel Dragster championship with a series-high 11 victories in 24 races, and through the first 11 races of the 2019 season, he has earned a series-high five victories.
