How do Formula 1’s 10 teams stack up against one another in the Formula 1 Team Power Rankings following the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring?

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen earned his first victory of the 2019 Formula 1 season by winning the Austrian Grand Prix, the ninth race on the 21-race schedule.

Verstappen’s victory in this 71-lap race around the 10-turn, 2.683-mile (4.318-kilometer) Red Bull Ring road course in Spielberg, Styria, Austria was Red Bull Racing’s first victory of the 2019 season, and it made them just the second team to win a race this season.

The season began with eight consecutive victories for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, which entered the Austrian Grand Prix having won 10 consecutive races going back to last season.

In fact, the most recent race won by a team other than Mercedes was won by Red Bull Racing, and it was won by Verstappen. This race was the Mexican Grand Prix late last October.

A victory in the Austrian Grand Prix for the Silver Arrows would have tied the all-time consecutive wins record, which McLaren set back in the 1988 season when they reeled off 11 consecutive victories to open up the year. Mercedes’ two drivers ended up both finishing outside of the top two, as Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc’s finished in second place. Valtteri Bottas finished in third for the Brackley-based team while Lewis Hamilton finished in fifth.

How did the action from the Red Bull Ring affect the Formula 1 Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated Formula 1 Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated Formula 1 Team Power Rankings following Red Bull Racing’s first victory of the 2019 season.
