The field is set to be full for the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season’s 18th race, the Coke Zero Sugar 400, at Daytona International Speedway.

This Saturday night’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway, the Coke Zero Sugar 400, marks the halfway mark on the 2019 schedule, as it is the 36-race season’s 18th race.

A total of 40 drivers are set to compete in this 160-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) high-banked Daytona International Speedway oval in Daytona Beach, Florida, which is the second of two races at this track of the season.

The first of these two races was the 61st annual Daytona 500, which opened up the season back in mid-February. Daytona International Speedway is one of 13 tracks on the schedule that the Cup Series is scheduled to visit twice this year, and it is scheduled to host its second race of the season before any of the other 12 do so.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Of the 40 drivers who are set to compete in this race, 32 are full-time drivers while 31 are full-time drivers who are eligible to score points in the Cup Series. StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill is the lone full-time driver who is set to compete in this race but will not be eligible to score points in it.

The other eight drivers who are set to compete in this race are part-time drivers, and of these eight part time drivers, four are set to drive for chartered teams while four are set to drive for non-chartered teams.

Premium Motorsports’ Garrett Smithley, Petty Ware Racing’s B.J. McLeod, Rick Ware Racing’s J.J. Yeley and Spire Motorsports’ Justin Haley are set to drive for chartered teams while Premium Motorsports’ Reed Sorenson, Rick Ware Racing’s Joey Gase, Beard Motorsports’ Brendan Gaughan and Gaunt Brothers Racing’s Parker Kligerman are set to drive for non-chartered teams.

Driving for a chartered team or a non-chartered team will not make a difference in terms of qualifying for this particular race since there are 40 drivers on the entry list, which is the maximum number of drivers allowed to compete in each race, and therefore nobody will be bumped out of the field.
