By Asher Fair
How do the full-time Formula E drivers stack up against one another in the Formula E Driver Power Rankings with the 2018-2019 season in the books?
Envision Virgin Racing’s Robin Frijns secured his second victory of the 2018-2019 Formula E season by winning the 13th and final race on the schedule, New York City ePrix Race 2, at Brooklyn Street Circuit. This victory was also the second victory of his Formula E career.
Frijns’s victory in this 36-lap race around the 14-turn, 1.475-mile (2.374-kilometer) Brooklyn Street Circuit temporary street circuit in Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York made him just the third driver to win multiple races this season.
DS Techeetah’s Jean-Eric Vergne, now the only two-time champion in Formula E history, won three races this season while Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Lucas di Grassi, the 2016-2017 champion and most recent champion not named Vergne, won two like Frijns did.
Six other drivers won one race this season. These six drivers, who represent six different teams, were BMW i Andretti Motorsport’s Antonio Felix da Costa, Mahindra Racing’s Jerome d’Ambrosio, Envision Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird, Venturi’s Edoardo Mortara, Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Mitch Evans and Nissan e.dams’ Sebastien Buemi.
How did the action from Brooklyn Street Circuit to wrap up the 2018-2019 season affect the Formula E Driver Power Rankings? Here are the non-formulated Formula E Driver Power Rankings following Frijns’s second victory of the season.
