NASCAR Cup Series: 2019 Gander RV 400 (Pocono) entry list

The second of two races at Pocono Raceway, the Gander RV 400, in the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season is set to feature 38 drivers.

Pocono Raceway is the second of 13 tracks on the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule to feature two races. The first of these two tracks, Daytona International Speedway, hosted its second race over two weeks ago after hosting the season-opening Daytona 500 back in mid-February.

This Sunday’s race at Pocono Raceway, the Gander RV 400, is the 21st race on the 2019 schedule. The first race of the season at Pocono Raceway was the 14th race on the schedule and took place in early June. The Gander RV 400 was also the name of the season’s 11th race at Dover International Speedway in early May.

A total of 38 drivers are set to compete in this Sunday afternoon’s 160-lap race around the three-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Pocono Raceway oval in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, tying the seventh highest driver total on an entry list so far this season.

The two races at Daytona International Speedway and the races at Talladega Superspeedway, Kansas Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway featured full fields of 40 drivers while the race at Texas Motor Speedway featured 39 drivers.

The races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Auto Club Speedway, Sonoma Raceway and Chicagoland Speedway also featured 38 drivers earlier this season. The first race of the season at Pocono Raceway featured 37 drivers.

Of the 38 drivers who are set to compete in this Sunday’s race, 33 are full-time drivers while are part-time drivers.

Of the 33 full-time drivers who are set to compete in this race, only Premium Motorsports’ Ross Chastain has missed a race so far this season, as he did not compete in the race at Michigan International Speedway, and only Chastain and StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill are not eligible to score points in the Cup Series.

Only two of the five part-time drivers who are set to compete in this race have been confirmed, and one is set to drive for a chartered team. Reed Sorenson is set to drive the #27 Premium Motorsports Chevrolet while Quin Houff is set to drive the #77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet. Houff is set to drive for a chartered team while Sorenson is not.

The drivers of the #51 Petty Ware Racing Ford, the #52 Rick Ware Racing Ford and the #53 Rick Ware Racing Chevrolet have not yet been confirmed. The drivers of the #51 Petty Ware Racing Ford and the #52 Rick Ware Racing Ford are set to drive for chartered teams while the driver of the #53 Rick Ware Racing Chevrolet is not.
