A total of 38 drivers are set to compete in this Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race, the Consumers Energy 400, at Michigan International Speedway.

Michigan International Speedway is set to host its second and the 23rd overall race of the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season this Sunday, August 11. The first race at the track was a race that was postponed by rain and held on Monday, June 10.

This Sunday afternoon’s race, the Consumers Energy 400, is set to feature 38 drivers. The June race at Michigan International Speedway featured only 36 drivers, which is still tied for the lowest driver total of the season.

Of the 38 drivers who are set to compete in this Sunday afternoon’s 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.0-mile (3.219-kilometer) Michigan International Speedway oval in Brooklyn, Michigan, 33 are full-time drivers while five are part-time drivers.

Of these 33 full-time drivers, only StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill and Premium Motorsports’ Ross Chastain are not eligible to score points in the Cup Series.

Cassill has competed in each of the season’s first 22 races while Chastain has not. Ironically, the one race that Chastain missed was the June race at Michigan International Speedway.

Only four of the five part-time drivers have been confirmed thus far, as Rick Ware Racing have not announced who will be driving the #53 Chevrolet for their lone non-chartered team. The #53 Chevrolet is one of only two cars that are set to compete in this race without a charter, although it will not be bumped from the field since the entry list is not full.

Meanwhile, Quin Houff is set to drive the #27 Premium Motorsports Chevrolet, which is the only other car that is set to compete in this race without a charter.

The three part-time drivers who are set to drive for chartered teams in this race are B.J. McLeod, Austin Theriault and Garrett Smithley. They are set to drive the #51 Petty Ware Racing Ford, the #52 Rick Ware Racing Ford and the #77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, respectively.
