Follow along with our live qualifying updates for the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season’s 23rd race and second at Michigan International Speedway, the Consumers Energy 400.

The drivers of the NASCAR Cup Series are set to compete at Michigan International Speedway this Sunday, August 11 for the second time this season, as the track also hosted a race on Monday, June 10.

This Sunday afternoon’s race, the Consumers Energy 400, is the 23rd of 36 races on the 2019 schedule. Michigan International Speedway is the third of 13 tracks on the schedule for the second time. Daytona International Speedway and Pocono Raceway have both hosted two races already this season.

Remaining on the schedule following this race are 10 tracks that have already hosted one race this season, including Charlotte Motor Speedway, which hosted a race on its oval track and is set to host a race on the roval in the round of 16 of the playoffs, in addition to three of of the 10 tracks that are only on the schedule once.

Two of these three tracks, Darlington Raceway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, are on the regular season schedule while one of them, Homestead-Miami Speedway, is the site of the Championship 4 season finale.

Entering this Sunday afternoon’s race, 10 different drivers representing six different teams have won at least one race this season.

Nine of these 10 drivers representing five different teams are set to compete in this race, as Spire Motorsports’ Justin Haley is not.

Nine different drivers, including Haley, have won one of the last nine races, including the season’s first race at Michigan International Speedway back in June, so a win by somebody other than one of these drivers would give the Cup Series 10 different winners in a 10-race span for the first time since the 2012 season.

Meanwhile, a total of 11 different drivers representing five different teams have taken at least one pole position in the season’s first 22 races. All 11 of these drivers are set to compete in this race.

Who will take the pole position and who will qualifying where throughout the rest of the field for this Sunday afternoon’s 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.0-mile (3.219-kilometer) Michigan International Speedway oval in Brooklyn, Michigan?
