Six part-time drivers are set to join the 33 full-time drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series’ second trip to Bristol Motor Speedway in the 2019 season for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race.

Bristol Motor Speedway is set to become the fourth track to host two races in the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season, as it is scheduled to host the season’s 24th race, the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race, this Saturday, August 17. The first race of the season at the track was contested back in early April.

A total of 39 drivers are set to compete in this 500-lap race around the four-turn, 0.533-mile (0.858-kilometer) high-banked Bristol Motor Speedway oval in Bristol, Tennessee. Only five races have featured full fields of 40 drivers so far this season, and only one other race featured exactly 39 drivers.

All 33 of the full-time drivers, of whom 32 have competed in each of the season’s first 23 races, are set to compete in this race.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Premium Motorsports’ Ross Chastain, who isn’t eligible to score Cup Series points since he is a full-time Truck Series driver, is the only full-time driver who missed a race this season. He missed the June race at Michigan International Speedway.

Another full-time driver, StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill, is also not eligible to score Cup Series points.

Of the six part-time drivers who are set to compete in this race, three are set to drive for chartered teams while three are set to drive for non-chartered teams, although there will not be any bumping from the field since the entry list is not at maximum capacity so this should be relatively insignificant.

The three part-time drivers who are set to drive for chartered teams in this race are Petty Ware Racing’s B.J. McLeod, Rick Ware Racing’s Bayley Currey and Spire Motorsports’ Reed Sorenson while the three part-time drivers who are set to drive for non-chartered teams in this race are Premium Motorsports’ Quin Houff and Rick Ware Racing teammates Josh Bilicki and J.J. Yeley.
