Charles Leclerc took his third consecutive pole position for the Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay Street Circuit, the 15th race of the 2019 Formula 1 season.

Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc took his series-high fifth pole position of the 2019 Formula 1 season and his third consecutive pole position for the 15th of 21 races on the schedule at Marina Bay Street Circuit, the Singapore Grand Prix.

Leclerc, who has also won two consecutive races heading into the weekend, took the pole position for this 61-lap race around the 23-turn, 3.146-mile (5.063-kilometer) Marina Bay Street Circuit temporary street circuit in Marina Bay, Singapore by recording a top lap time of 96.217 seconds (117.709 miles per hour) in the third and final round of qualifying for this race.

Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton is set to start alongside Leclerc on the front row in second place after barely knocking Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel to third in the closing seconds of this round of qualifying to prevent a Ferrari front row lockout.

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen qualified in fourth place ahead of Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas in fifth and rookie teammate Alexander Albon in sixth.
