NASCAR Cup Series: Start times, networks revealed for 2020

The start times and television networks for each of the 36 races on the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series schedule have been released.

The schedule for the 36-race 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season was released by NASCAR in late March, just over a month after the 36-race 2019 season began in mid-February.

However, not revealed along with next year’s schedule, which spans from early February through early November, were the start times for each of these 36 races. The television networks for these races were also not revealed.

Now both have been confirmed for all 36 points-paying races as well as the five exhibition and other races scheduled to take place throughout the year.

Of the 36 points-paying races on next year’s schedule, 30 are scheduled to take place on Sunday while six are scheduled to take place on Saturday. Of the five exhibition and other races on the schedule, two are scheduled to take place on Saturday, two are scheduled to take place on Sunday and the other one is scheduled to take place on Thursday.

Not including the five exhibition and other races on next year’s schedule, 28 are scheduled to begin between 2:00 p.m. ET and 3:30 p.m. ET while six are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET or later. The other two are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Of the five exhibition and other races on next year’s schedule, two are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET while one is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. ET, one is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. ET and the other one is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. ET.

All 36 races on next year’s schedule are set to be broadcast live on either FOX, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), NBC or NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).

There are still eight races remaining on the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, the first of which being this Sunday afternoon’s Bank of America Roval 400 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval in Concord, North Carolina. This race, the 29th of 36 races on the schedule and the third of 10 races on the four-round playoff schedule, is set to be broadcast live on NBC beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET.
