NASCAR Cup Series: 2019 1000Bulbs.com 500 entry list

A total of 40 drivers are set to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway, the 1000Bulbs.com 500.

Just six races remain on the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule. The first of these six races is the fifth of 10 races on the four-round playoff schedule, the 1000Bulbs.com 500, at Talladega Superspeedway.

A total of 40 drivers are set to compete in this 188-lap race around the four-turn, 2.66-mile (4.281-kilometer) high-banked Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama, making this race the eighth race of the season to feature a full field.

Of these 40 drivers, 33 are full-time drivers, although StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill and Premium Motorsports’ Ross Chastain are not eligible to score Cup Series points.

Cassill has competed in each of the season’s first 30 races while Chastain missed the June race at Michigan International Speedway.

Of the 31 other full-time drivers, 16 entered the playoffs with a chance to win the championship. Of these 16 drivers, 12 are still in the playoffs in the round of 12.

Seven part-time drivers are set to compete in this race as well, and three are set to drive for chartered teams while four are set to drive for non-chartered teams. The three drivers who are set to drive for chartered teams in this race are Petty Ware Racing’s Austin Theriault, Rick Ware Racing’s Spencer Boyd and Spire Motorsports’ Blake Jones.

The four drivers who are set to drive for non-chartered teams in this race are Premium Motorsports’ Joe Nemechek, Beard Motorsports’ Brendan Gaughan, MBM Motorsports’ Joey Gase and Gaunt Brothers Racing’s Parker Kligerman.
