We spoke to Samantha Busch, wife of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, about her partnership with Walmart Family Mobile this Father’s Day, and what that means during such challenging times for many families around the globe.

Father’s Day is a special day to celebrate all the great men in our lives and connect with family no matter where they are. That is especially the case this year, as many families have been unable to physically visit their fathers due to restrictions placed on them as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

While some restrictions have been lifted, this will still go down for many individuals as one of the more challenging Father’s Days on record, much like Mother’s Day did last month.

But we do live in the 21st century, and getting together isn’t the only way to connect with loved ones. Smartphones are as important as ever to stay connected with our friends and family, and that is especially true for a family-oriented holiday such as Father’s Day.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

That’s why Samantha Busch, the wife of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, is excited to partner with Walmart Family Mobile. She is excited to share advice on how she stays a step ahead when planning and celebrating Father’s Day, which is coming up on Sunday, June 21.

“I’ve worked with Walmart Family Mobile in the past,” Samantha told Beyond the Flag. “They’ve been great to work with. Obviously with how much we travel and on multiple businesses and always being on the go, it’s really important for me to have a smartphone to be connected with everybody. Without being able to travel to the races, to be able to FaceTime all the time with Kyle before and after the races is really important.”

Walmart Family Mobile’s new family plans offer two Truly Unlimited lines with 10GB of hotspot data per line for less than $75 per month all powered by the T-Mobile network, making it easy to stay connected with your loved ones both near and far on Father’s Day.

“I love getting to inform the fans that you get two Truly Unlimited lines with 10 GB of hotspot data per line for less than $75 per month,” she added. “That’s so important with everybody always on the go, to have that hotspot data.”

With Walmart Family Mobile, there are no contracts and no surprise fees. You get the best value in wireless for unlimited talk and text, plus all of the data you need to stay connected and more. To learn more about their unlimited plans, check out MyFamilyMobile.com, or be sure to visit the wireless section during your next trip to a Walmart location.

NASCAR has a race scheduled for Father’s Day this Sunday, June 21, so Samantha and five-year-old son Brexton will not be able to be with Kyle since families are still not allowed back at the race track. This race is the ninth Cup Series race since the sport returned to action following a 10-week hiatus at Darlington Raceway last month.

“It’s really important to stay connected,” she said. “I think with things like having FaceTime available to you — that’s how we stayed connected with our family and friends during all the quarantine. It’s not exactly the same as being in person, but it sure is nice to be able to get to see them. For us, we still do our family prayer before the races with Kyle. It’s been a different way of life, but obviously we’re all making it work.

“It’s been really different being at home versus being at the track. Brexton and I always traveled with Kyle; Brexton has been on the road since he was a newborn. You miss getting to see the fans and hanging out in the motorhome lot with the other families and getting to sit on the pit box and watch the live race. It has definitely been an adjustment. I can’t wait to get back. There’s just so much energy and excitement at the track. When it’s safe to be there, we’re excited to go back.”
