With the month of February upon us, let’s take an updated look at the entry list for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season-opening Daytona 500.

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season is officially scheduled to get underway this month, with the 63rd annual Daytona 500 scheduled to take place in under two weeks on Sunday, February 14.

The entry list for this 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) high-banked oval in Daytona Beach, Florida is already well above capacity.

As of now, there are already 45 entries and just 40 available starting spots, with the potential for a 46th car or even a 47th car still very much existent.

Of those 45 cars, 44 are confirmed entries, with the 45th being a NY Racing Team Chevrolet that is planned to run the full season but without any true confirmation thus far.

The 46th entry would be a Tommy Baldwin Racing Chevrolet, as they are still aiming to compete. The 47th would be a The Money Team Racing entry. Of all the cars on the entry list, 36 are locked into the race due to being chartered entries. The other four spots will be settled among the other eight to 11 cars, depending on how the entry list ends up.

Here’s a look at the current entry list for the 63rd annual Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway with the month of February now underway and the start of Daytona Speedweeks presented by AdventHealth just under one week away with next Tuesday night’s Busch Clash.

NOTE: “Full-time” / “Part-time” indicates the status of the driver (or likely driver, if not confirmed) for the race.
