Kyle Busch is set to return to the NASCAR Truck Series this Friday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the first of his five starts in 2021.

Full-time NASCAR Cup Series drivers who have five or more seasons of full-time experience in the Cup Series are only allowed to compete in a maximum of five Truck Series races per year.

One driver who takes advantage of allotment, even though it has shrunk greatly over the years, is Kyle Busch, who owns Truck Series team Kyle Busch Motorsports.

He is set to begin his five-race slate this Friday, March 5 at his home track of Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he has competed and won in each of the last three seasons, in the Bucked Up 200.

Busch is already the winningest driver in Truck Series history with 59 wins, including eight in his last 10 starts going back to the start of the 2019 season.

But he plans to continue competing at NASCAR’s third highest level for as long as he can. This is unlike his plan for the Xfinity Series, where he is also limited to competing in five races per season. The winningest driver in Xfinity Series history with 97 victories, Busch has said that he will retire from that series once he hits 100 wins, a number he could very well reach in 2021.

Busch is also set to compete in the Truck Series races at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Friday, March 20, Richmond Raceway on Saturday, April 17, Kansas Speedway on Saturday, May 1 and Pocono Raceway on Saturday, June 26.

His most recent Truck Series start took place on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Texas Motor Speedway. He won that race for his third win in five starts in 2020.

The Bucked Up 200 is set to be broadcast live from Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET this Friday, March 5. Busch has made four Truck Series starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with three coming in the last three seasons. All three of those starts resulted in dominant wins, with him leading a combined 273 of the 402 laps in those three races around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Las Vegas, Nevada.
